On April 12, Antai China CEO Club’s Celebration for the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and the 2019 “70 Years of Glories and Dream Catchers in New Era” Annual Meeting was solemnly held. A number of special guests were invited to deliver the keynote speeches, including Zhou Hanmin, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association and the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Xie Xiaoyan, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on Syria, and Wang Junhao, Chairman of the China CEO Club. Nearly 300 members joined this event, including Dean Chen Fangruo, Deputy Dean Tian Xinmin of Antai College Economics • Management, Li Yu, President of China CEO Club, Xu Jianping, President of Industrial Investment Club, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, members of CEO Club and Industrial Investment Club as well as elites from all walks of life.

Dean, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor Chen Fangruo of Antai College Economics • Management, first gave a speech on behalf of the school. Dean Chen said: Alumni organizations are very important to the development of a business school. The vitality of an alumni organization is mainly from cohesiveness. The CEO Club organizes the alumni who graduated from Antai, and enhances their emotional cohesiveness through activities. At present, Shanghai Jiao Tong University is at the forefront of Chinese universities on the road to reach out. The internationalization strategy is a very important step in the process of college construction. The so-called international vision is to go deep into overseas situations to see problems, and then think about what we should do. Therefore, I put forward the concept of “cross-cutting, knowing and doing”, combining the development of the original horizontal development with industry research and establishing vertical development. Antai strives to create a healthy and broad business school ecosystem, and form a benign academic atmosphere. At the same time, through the combination with the industry, we will achieve an interlocking status, provide a better platform for alumni, and enhance the communications among alumni as well as those between alumni and our school. We can seek self-improvement by mutual learning and study.

In the speech, Li Yu, President of China CEO Club, briefly reviewed the club's work for one year. He also pointed out that 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. “70 Years of Glories and Dream Catchers in New Era”, the club will bear in mind the school motto “when you drink water, never shall you forget its source; love your motherland and bring honor to your almamater”. By taking the Antai College Economics • Managements the academic support and the industry research as the starting point and through the combination of production, study, and commercialization, we would like to strengthen the interaction and linkage with the college, promote the development of alumni enterprises in the alumni club and present gifts for the 70th anniversary of the motherland.

In the keynote speech session, Mr. Zhou Hanmin, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association and the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, shared his understanding of the spirit of the two sessions from the three dimensions of resisting temptation, stimulating vitality and bearing pressure. He believes that the so-called dream pursuit is to make the state rich and strong, nation prosperous and people happy. The country's prosperity, national rejuvenation, and people's happiness are the connotations of the China Dream.

Mr. Wang Junhao, Chairman of the Antai CEO Club, shared his views of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta. The integration of the Yangtze River Delta is an inevitable result of history and a strategy for the overall planning at the national level. From the perspective of enterprises, the integration of the Yangtze River Delta poses huge business opportunities. A company in the Yangtze River Delta must fully understand the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, timely tracking relevant policies and seizing strategic opportunities based on its own characteristics. This is a historic opportunity, and also a new starting point for the 70 years after the founding of the Republic of China, apart from a platform for we dream catchers.

Xie Xiaoyan, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on Syria, shared his opinions on the current situation in Africa and China-Africa relations from the diplomatic perspective. He believes that Africa is an important direction and source of China's vitality. China has been the first trading partner in Africa for nine consecutive years. The total bilateral trade volume has reached 204.1 billion in 2018. The total investment has exceeded 100 billion. From the main direction of capacity cooperation, we should pay more attention to Africa in terms of increment and more industrial transfer in the future, which is very beneficial for us to seek new opportunities and upgrade the industry.

The roundtable forum was also held at the annual meeting, and was hosted by Dr. Gao Jingxin, Director of the Executive Education Center of Antai College Economics • Management. The guests shared opinions and conducted exchanges in the fields of internationalization, investment, supply chain management and health of the business school.
